  Xinhua News Agency, Tokyo, February 2 (Reporter Hua Yi) Japanese Prime Minister Suga Yoshihide announced on the evening of February 2 that the emergency in 11 prefectures, including Tokyo and Osaka Prefecture, will be extended to March 7 except Tochigi Prefecture.

  After holding a meeting of the Expert Advisory Committee and reporting to the National Assembly, Suga Yoshihide officially announced the above decision at the meeting of the Countermeasures Headquarters in Covid-19 on the same day. He said that the state of emergency has obviously achieved results.
