QS added the ratio of teachers and students and the reputation of employers to the list. Therefore, Simmons asked employers who received the questionnaire to choose which university the most capable, innovative and efficient graduates came from. This is also the only scoring item in the four lists that focuses on the cultivation of students’ comprehensive quality.
The evaluation of Shanghai soft science focuses on the number of published papers, citations and awards of teachers and students, excluding all subjective scoring links, and all adopt quantitative evaluation.
After statistics, CCTV reporters noticed that scientific research ability is the main basis for ranking universities in various rankings, and the high number of citations of papers and the benefits brought by research are the biggest reliance for first-class universities to enter the forefront of the rankings.
It is worth noting that all institutions use the proportion of international students and international teachers to rank their international perspectives.
For the cultivation of students, some lists also use simple teacher-student ratio and doctoral ratio, while others skip this item.
