Taiwan’s newly popular idols Peng Yuyan, Ke Yulun, and Lin Chenxi made an appearance together. At the meeting, many fans who came because of Peng Yuyan’s fame were very excited and screamed constantly. Leaders such as famous Taiwanese directors Li Xing, Zhu Yanping, Li Lie, a gold medal producer who once created myths, and Li Qiankuan, chairperson of the China Film Association, also attended the event. "Roll Over! Ashin"’s blood and inspirational style has also received unanimous praise, which can be called another model of Taiwan’s youth film.

　　　 With the theme of "Beautiful New Generation," the festival focused on the works of six emerging Taiwanese directors, including "Roll Over! Ashin" and "Shin". During the festival, the creators of these films will also have face-to-face exchanges with the audience.

　　　 On the day of the event, Li Xing, a famous director who has won multiple Golden Horse Awards and is now 71 years old, traveled all the way from Taiwan and delivered a touching speech at the beginning of the event. He said: "In 1948, when I was 19 years old, I left the mainland and came to Taiwan. I am a veteran of Chinese film directors in Taiwan. Now that it is the beautiful new generation, I have stepped back into the background and have been promoting cross-strait film exchanges for all these years. The cultural appreciation level of audiences on both sides of the strait is different. No one from Taiwan is willing to invest in the mainland, and only a few hundred thousand Taiwan dollars are paid for the screening of Taiwanese films in Taiwan. So we must vigorously promote cross-strait film exchanges."

　　　 Li Xing said that at present, Taiwan’s film is also in a state of recovery. This summer, "Roll Over! Ashin" achieved 70 million box office results, and the new work of director Wei Desheng, who once directed and became the "Light of Taiwan", is still being screened, which is about to exceed six hundred million Taiwan dollars. "I have also noticed many very good young mainland directors recently, such as director Li Yu and director Zhang Meng, who are also very good newcomers. The current film era is the era of young people, and my greatest wish is to make the film cultures on both sides of the Taiwan Strait truly integrate and become close to each other," Li Xing said.

"Roll Over! A Xin" – Peng Yuyan’s transformation from "male idol" to "quasi-actor"

　　　 As the opening film of the Taiwan Newcomer New Film Festival, "Roll! A Xin" has long received extensive attention from the film industry. After being well received by domestic and foreign media at the Cannes Film Festival, it was nominated for five awards at this year’s Golden Horse Awards and became a hit film. The Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival is the first public screening of the film in the mainland. Li Lie made his debut with the "Roll Lineup" starring Peng Yuyan, Ke Yulun and Lin Chenxi.

　　　　 Peng Yuyan was shortlisted for the Golden Horse Best Actor with Wang Qianyuan, Ge You and Andy Lau for "Roll! A Xin", and instantly transformed from an idol drama star to a "quasi-best actor". Since Peng Yuyan’s role as "A Xin" in the film comes from the real life experience of Lin Yuxin, the biological brother of director Lin Yuxian, and Lin Yuxin himself is also a real gymnast, Peng Yuyan’s gymnastics movements in the film are almost all completed by himself. Peng Yuyan trained hard for this for several months and required more than ten hours of gymnastics practice every day. In the end, the six major movements in the film, floor exercises, pommel horses, rings, vaulting horses, parallel bars and horizontal bars, were all completed by the actors themselves. Li Lie also said: "Roll Over! A Xin is the smoothest movie I have ever produced. After becoming an army, everyone’s morale is completely combined.
