Be alert to four symptoms of dengue fever and seek medical advice promptly.
The Yunnan Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention issued the latest reminder that May to November is the epidemic season of dengue fever. If there are four typical symptoms of dengue fever, such as sudden high fever, three red signs, three pains and rash, please seek medical advice in time. Dengue fever is an acute insect-borne infectious disease caused by dengue virus, mainly transmitted by the bite of Aedes mosquitoes.
Dengue fever is transmitted through patients-Aedes mosquitoes-other people, and generally does not spread directly from person to person. At present, the dengue virus is mainly transmitted by Aedes albopictus and Aedes aegypti (commonly known as "flower mosquito"). After a dengue fever patient or a recessive infected person is bitten by Aedes mosquitoes, it usually takes 8 to 10 days for the virus to proliferate in Aedes mosquitoes before it can be transmitted to people through bites.
The Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention reminded that the typical symptoms of dengue fever can be summarized as "sudden high fever+three red signs+three pains+rash". That is, the body temperature rises to 39 degrees Celsius or 40 degrees Celsius within 24 to 36 hours, resulting in "three red signs" of flushing on the face, neck and chest, accompanied by severe headache, joint pain all over the body and muscle pain, and congestive rash or punctate bleeding rash on the trunk or head and face of limbs.
In daily life, to stay away from dengue fever and avoid being bitten by mosquitoes is the key. The Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention suggested that when going to outdoor activities in dengue endemic areas, try to choose light-colored long-sleeved trousers and use mosquito repellent or other mosquito repellent drugs as much as possible. Pay attention to cleaning up the water at the bottom of the flowerpot at home, keep it ventilated and dry, and use mosquito nets and mosquito-killing products. (Zhang Xiaoli)
